Jockey J. Bardottier has been charged by the Racing Stewards this Friday 07 June for contravention of Rule 43.1 when riding COURTROOM MAGIC on race meeting 4 in the main race. The latter pleaded not guilty but was found guilty as charged. 

The local rider has been been suspended up to 31st december 2024.

Rule 43.1 stipulates that ''A Jockey failing to ensure that he rides his horse on its merits can be imposed a suspension or disqualification of up to 05 years ; and, a fine of minimum of Rs.50,000
up to 01 million Mauritian rupees.''
