To potential importer of race horses :

PTP took note of the situation in which race horse owners find themselves at the moment.

PTP wish to inform race horse owners to contact its CEO should they wish to bring their horses to Mauritius.

PTP cut off all intermediaries and hence the total cost is kept to the lowest possible available on the market.

The following copies of documents must be provided in relation to each horse to be imported:

1. Invoice of the horse purchased;

2. Proof of payment by the owner through a regulated licensed institution;

3. Personal Management Licence of the owner/s or if horses are purchased by the stable then the PML of the trainer ( invoice in name of trainer / stable and payments effected by trainer / stable );

4. A brief description of the source / s of funds;

5. Passport of each horse;

6. A deposit of R250k at the time of application with the HRD and a further R150k on the day the horse enters quarantine in Cape Town;

7. Any additional costs shall be paid as and when the expenses are incurred.
