He further stated that he tried to close the gap leaving the 1000m, but the horse never responded to his urgings. In view of the performance of POWER TOWER, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine and sample the horse. 3. Jockeys N. Batchameah (HUDSON RIVER), A. Roy (EXECUTIVE DECISION) and N. Marday (CAROLINA REAPER) reported that their respective horses were not striding out in the running. In view of these reports, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.

General 1. Prior to the commencement of this race, the instructions for all riders were taken by the Stipendiary Stewards. In this regard, each of the instructions matched the racing pattern of the horses.
Starting Reports 1. LITTLE BUOY (N. Marday) began awkwardly and was slow. Stewards Reports 2. Leaving the stall, GRAND FINALE (J. Allyhosain) who did not jump well, was eased off the heels of SPOTTED PEARL (S. Rama) and LITTLE BUOY (N. Marday), in an attempt to switch in, was eased off the heels of GLOBAL SPECTRUM (K. Ramsamy). 3. GRAND FINALE (J. Allyhosain) was hanging in. 4. NAZDAROVYA (A. Roy) weakened from the 450m. 5. Jockey J. Allyhosain (GRAND FINALE) appeared before the Board in relation to the below par performance of his horse. In this regard, he advised the Board that GRAND FINALE jumped sideways to the inside and had to be eased from SPOTTED PEARL (S. Rama) and then his horse was keen in the running. He further explained that GRAND FINALE was in hand in the race, however, from the 400m, he did not find anything under him and then his horse was hanging in badly in the straight, proving difficult to assist. Trainer N. Rawat appeared before the Board and advised that he fancied GRAND FINALE but the latter was disappointing. He said that the horse has put up weight after joining his stable but he is still assessing the horse. He further explained that he did not know the exact reason behind the horse’s performance.
In view of the performance of GRAND FINALE, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. 6. Jockey K. Ramsamy (GLOBAL SPECTRUM) weighed out late for this race which caused the horse to be brought in the paddock late and then the horse was led to the starting gates, resulting in a delay in the start of this race. Accordingly, Jockey K. Ramsamy has been issued with a reprimand and has been advised to weigh out in time.
