General 1. Prior to the commencement of this race, the instructions for all riders were taken by the Stipendiary Stewards. In this regard, each of the instructions matched the racing pattern of the horses. 2. SMUTS (S. Rama) proceeded to the gates wearing earplugs which were removed behind the gates prior to the start. 3. FORT MCHENRY (P. Horil) was reluctant to proceed to the gates from the 1600m, causing a delay in the start of the race. 4. POWERPOINT (A. Roy) ducked under its stalls and bolted. Subsequently, POWERPOINT was withdrawn on Veterinary advice. 5. Stall number 1 was rendered unusable and the draw numbers were shifted out.
Starting Reports 1. SMUTS (S. Rama) brushed the gates. 2. CRUSHING FORCE (N. Marday) jumped awkwardly. 3. AIR OF MYSTERY (R. Oodith) jumped awkwardly, throwing its head and was sluggish in its strides, losing ground.
Stewards Reports 1. In view of the above report, the starting stall certificate for POWERPOINT (A. Roy) has been withdrawn. This horse has been suspended by the Stipendiary Stewards for seven days after which, it will be required to complete a jump out in a barrier trial to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards. 2. CRUSHING FORCE (N. Marday) had a tendency to hang out during the running. 3. CRUSHING FORCE (N. Marday) was wide leaving the 450m crossing. 4. Jockey P. Horil (FORT MCHENRY) appeared before the Board, was shown the patrol films of the race and advised against the practice of using his whip on consecutive strides in the running. Jockey P. Horil was issued with a reprimand. 5. Jockey S. Bhundoo (GOLD LINING) appeared before the Board, was shown patrol films of the race and has been advised to ride out his horses to the finish.
6. Jockey R. Oodith (AIR OF MYSTERY) appeared before the Board in relation to the performance of his horse and advised that his horse was nervous behind the gates, did not jump well and was unsettled during the running. He added that he would advise Trainer C. Ramdin to change the gears on the horse. In view of the performance of the AIR OF MYSTERY, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine and sample the horse.

Oodith (RAVISHING RAMBO) reported that his horse was hanging in during the running. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. 3. Jockey K. Ramsamy (ENIGMA CODE) reported that his horse was pulling in the running. 4. Jockey K. Ramsamy (ENIGMA CODE) was questioned in relation to his riding between the 500m to the 300m when SASSARI got an opening on his inside. He advised that his horse was inclined to lay out throughout the race and his horse was wide at the 450m, his intention was to switch his horse back in leaving the 450m but decided not to do so when he was made aware of the presence of another runner on his inside and behind. He had to steady his horse for a few strides near 300m, as SUPREME ELEVATION rolled in, putting pressure on his horse. the explanation was noted, however, he has been warned and advised to ride his horses in a manner that does not leave any room for a query.

Stewards Reports 1. Leaving the 1400m, SPY MASTER (R. Joorawon) was wide, losing cover and was wider at the 1200m. 2. Near 600m, CLEAN SLATE (R Oodith) was eased and shifted out causing CLEVELAND (S Rama) to shift out from its running line. 3. CLEAN SLATE (R. Oodith) was awkward over the crossing near the 450m whereby Jockey R. Oodith was briefly unbalanced. 4. Jockey R. Oodith (CLEAN SLATE) reported that his saddle slipped, which could be confirmed on the video footage. Nevertheless, he has been issued with a reprimand for not showing it to an official. 5. Jockey S. Rama (CLEVELAND) appeared before the Board in relation to his riding in the final straight. He explained that he had to go out at the 300m as SPY MASTER (R. Joorawon), which was racing in front of him, was weakening. He stated that his horse hit the front at the 150m but despite his urgings, he stayed one paced at the finish. A review of his riding will be conducted in this matter. 6. Jockey R. Joorawon (SPY MASTER) appeared before the Board in relation to his riding. He explained that he wanted to settle his mount in a one-off position behind SERGEI (A. Roy) but he had to switch out his mount as had he stayed where he was, his horse could have clipped the heels of SERGEI which was slowing. He further stated that he wanted to
move up from the 800m but at the same time Jockey A. Roy kept urging his mount forward resulting in his horse being kept wide. He also explained that his horse weakened leaving the 400m. A review of his riding will be conducted in this matter. 7. In view of the performance of SPY MASTER (R. Joorawon), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine and sample the horse.
