GENERAL: 1. Prior to the running of this race, Trainer S Mahadia advised the Board that his instructions to Jockey J Allyhosain were to bounce CLOUDED HILL to lead, however, not to insist as there is pace in the race. This information was disseminated to the public.

Stewards Reports 1. TIMEINTHEWOODS (B. Sooful) was hanging-in, in the straight 2. Jockey A. Roy (CAROLINA REAPER) reported that his saddle slipped back during the running which was confirmed by an official. 3. Jockey B. Sooful (TIMEINTHEWOODS) was queried in relation to his riding in the race. He advised that his horse did not jump very well and when he saw SMUTS ahead of him without Jockey S Rama having to work on SMUTS, he elected to sit behind SMUTS. He further explained that his horse did not stride out properly from the backstretch and was hanging-in badly in the final straight. In view of the performance of TIMEINTHEWOODS, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine and sample the horse. 4. Jockey N. Batchameah (HUDSON RIVER) reported that his horse was not striding out in the running.

Stewards Reports 1. Approaching the 1200m, BRAVE SIOUX (R Oodith) was eased off the heels of CHRISTMAS ICECREAM (J Bardottier) and switched in. 2. Jockey S. Bhundoo (DUKE OF ABERCORN) appeared before the Board in relation to his riding which was found not in accordance with his instructions and he was observed to have continued to ride his horse up to the 700m and finally the horse weakened and dropped out of the race. He stated that his horse was dropping its bit. He believed that his horse suffered a shoulder problem and that could be the reason for it have dropped out of the race. In view of the report from the Jockey, DUKE OF ABERCORN was referred to the Veterinary Surgeon. An inquiry will be opened into his riding.

Stewards Reports 1. In view of the Starting Report, the Starting stall certificate for MASTER KEEKU (S. Rama) has been withdrawn. MASTER KEEKU has been suspended for seven days, after which it will be required to complete a jump out in a barrier trial to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards. 2. MASTER KEEKU (S Rama) had a tendency to lay-in in the straight. 3. Jockey G Aucharuz (CULTURE TRIP) reported his saddle slipping back in the running. However, he could not show it to any official. 4. Jockey G. Aucharuz (CULTURE TRIP) appeared before the Board. He advised that MASSIMO was faster and he did not expect RIDGERUNNER (R Oodith) to be ridden from his outside. When that was the case, he settled his horse as it was the first run of the
horse after a long gap. Further, he was getting pressure from RIDGERUNNER on its outside due to which he had to hold his horse. The explanation was noted.

Stewards Reports 1. Leaving the stalls, LOOK BACK (R Oodith) and PORTRAYAL (B Sooful) brushed. 2. Leaving the stall, STEPPING OUT (S Rama) threw its head as the Jockey tried to settle his horse.
3. Leaving the 1300m, LOOK BACK (R Oodith) was eased off the heels of LOCK DOWN (J Allyhosain) which was restrained in anticipation of CROONER (S Bhundoo) shifting in. 4. STEPPING OUT (S Rama) was wide leaving the 1300m and was restrained to be brought behind runners. 5. Approaching 1100m, LOOK BACK (R Oodith) was again eased off the heels of LOCK DOWN (J Allyhosain) which was held up as the pace was reduced by CROONER (S Bhundoo). Jockey S Bhundoo appeared before the Board and was shown the patrol film of the incident and was issued with a reprimand. 6. Jockey B Sooful (PORTRAYAL) appeared before the Board in relation to him travelling wide at 300m and in the straight. He explained that his horse had a tendency to hang out which can be seen from the position of his horse’s head. Not being entirely satisfied with his explanation, he has been issued with a reprimand.

Starting Reports 1. CAPTAIN SEAGER (J Allyhosain) jumped sideways to the outside and IDITAROD TRAIL (G Aucharuz) jumped sideways to the inside due to which STOPALLTHECLOCKS (A Roy) was squeezed out.
Stewards Reports 1. CAPTAIN SEAGER (J Allyhosain) was held up for a few strides near the 300m.

CAPTAIN SEAGER (J Allyhosain) commenced to shift out leaving the 200m and then shifted out further under the continual use of the whip, brushed with ONE DAY OR DAY ONE (B Sooful) which shifted out and caused QUATRO FIVE SIX (B Bhaugeerothee) to shift out from its rightful running. 1. FORGED BY FIRE (J Bardottier) jumped sideways and brushed into TAKING SILK (R Oodith) which had jumped sideways and the latter was squeezed out. 2. KALGOORLIE (B Bhaugeerothee) jumped sideways causing WILLIAMSHAKESPEARE (C Segeon) to shift out.
Stewards Reports 1. SECRET OASIS (G Aucharuz) stumbled at the 450m crossing and this incident resulted in KALGOORLIE (B Bhaugeerothee), which was following at that stage, being eased. 2. Jockey S. Rama (ZOOBERI) lost his right rein on entering the straight which he regained shortly. 3. Jockey J Bardottier (FORGED BY FIRE) reported that his horse was not striding out in the running. The horse was referred to the Veterinary Surgeon for examination. 4. An inquiry has been opened into the excessive celebration exhibited by Jockey J Allyhosain (SPOTTED PEARL).
