General
1. Prior to the commencement of this race, the instructions for all riders were taken by the
Stipendiary Stewards. In this regard, each of the instructions matched the racing pattern of
the horses.
2. There was a light and medium shower prior to the start of the first race.

Starting Reports
1. BIG SMOKE (M. Sonaram) was slowly away by three lengths.
2. UNIVERSE BOSS (R. Boutanive) was slowly away.

Stewards Reports
1. BIG SMOKE (M. Sonaram) stopped galloping at around the 1000m and did not finish the
race. In view of the performance of this horse, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to
examine.
2. Passing the 600m, THE HITMAN (C. Segeon) drifted in, inconveniencing HIGH
VOLTAGE (G. Aucharuz) and causing the latter to check. Jockey C. Segeon appeared
before the Board and was shown the patrol films of the race with regards to this incident
and he was issued with a reprimand accordingly.
3. CONSTITUTIONAL (K. Ramsamy) and RED ROCK CANYON (M. Rashpassing)
finished detached in the race. Trainer S. Hurchund was advised to ensure that his horses
run competitively.

the field. In view of the performance of JAMES PETER, the Veterinary Surgeon was
requested to examine.
2. Passing the 1000m, CAPKUTA (A. Correira Da Silva) came across AL JAZEERA (B.
Bhaugeerothe), causing Jockey B. Bhaugeerothee to take hold of his horse momentarily.
CAPKUTA further shifted in passing the 700m and caused a similar inconvenience to AL
JAZEERA. Jockey A. Correira Da Silva was severely reprimanded for riding an erratic
race.
3. Jockey B. Bhaugeerothee (AL JAZEERA) was severely reprimanded for his use of whip in
the last 300m, when he used his whip on the right continuously, causing the horse to drift
out five off the rails.
4. AL JAZEERA (B. Bhaugeerothee) drifted out under the use of the whip in the last 100m.
5. DAGOTIERE (R. Joorawon) drifted out under the use of the whip in the last 150m.

6. Jockey A. Correira Da Silva (CAPKUTA) was questioned regarding the poor performance
of his horse. He explained that despite his efforts, his mount failed to race further upfront
and did not respond to his urgings when the pace quickened. Trainer A. Rahmathullah was
also questioned and he was of the opinion that CAPKUTA did not like the going. The Board
noted the explanations of Jockey A. Correira Da Silva and Trainer A. Rahmathulla.
7. Jockey R. Joorawon (DAGOTIERE) reported to the Course Medical Officer who stood him
down for the remainder of the race meeting

was instructed to ride from the front and in doing so, he tried to get a position in front.
However, BELLAGIO KING was not responding, due to which, he was caught wide in the
field. However, Jockey G. Aucharuz still persisted with trying to lead but BELLAGIO
KING did not respond to his urgings before weakening badly leaving the 400m. Trainer N.
Rawat conveyed his dissatisfaction with regards to the run of his horse and stated that his
horse had to be ridden from the front and he felt that the track was not suiting the run of the
horse. The horse was subject to Veterinary examination.

of three other horses, which left him with no other option but to pass them and sit in front.
Additionally, he expressed his discontent about the riding of COLOUR MY FATE which
challenged him on the outside to lead. Trainer V. Ruhee expressed his consent with regards
to explanation given by Jockey C. Segeon.
