2. Jockey P. Horil (FORT MCHENRY) appeared in the Board in relation to the performance
of his horse. Jockey P. Horil explained that his horse was travelling well until it was
overtaken by another horse passing the 800m, and then lost interest and did not travel well
from the 400m. He added that the performance was disappointing, in view of which, the
horse was referred for Veterinary examination and sampling.
3. Jockey B. Woodworth (ROCHESTER) appeared before the Board in relation to his riding
in the concluding stages, was shown the patrol films of the race and was reminded of his
obligation to ride his horse out past the post with sufficient vigour.

General
1. Prior to the running of this race, Assistant Trainer U. Nagadoo informed the Board that his
instructions to Jockey J. Allyhosain were to ride AFRICAN ROCK with an intention to
lead. This change of tactic was disseminated to the public.
2. The cap colours of Jockeys J. Stein (MASTEROFALLISURVEY) and U. Chougule
(INAUGURATION) were interchanged. The Cleark of the Scales has been advised
accordingly.

Starting Reports
1. TIMEINTHEWOODS (C. Segeon) jumped awkwardly, brushed the gates and thereafter
brushed with SMUTS (S. Donohoe).

Stewards Reports
1. Shortly after the start, INAUGURATION (U. Chougule) was steadied due to a lack of
room.
2. Near 1400m, SMUTS (S. Donohoe) shifted in, causing CLOUDED HILL (B. Woodworth)
to be steadied and shifted in, which in turn went across AFRICAN ROCK (J. Allyhosain),
which was eased. Jockey Donohoe appeared before the Board, was shown the patrol films
of the race. He informed that his horse was restless in the gates and that he did not have his
right foot secured in the irons, which he regained after travelling some distance.
Nevertheless, he was advised to be more careful.
3. Soon on entering the straight, MASTEROFALLISURVEY (J. Stein) was briefly held up
when racing on the heels of INAUGURATION (U. Chougule).
4. INAUGURATION (U. Chougule) was hanging in, in the straight.
5. Jockey C. Bennett (UNIVERSE BOSS) reported that the neck strap was unbuckled near
the 750m.

out at 60kg.

interference to ZOOBERI (J. Gates) near the 1400m and SERGEI (M. Meyer) near the
1300m. A penalty of a suspension from riding in races for one race meeting was imposed.
3. Near the 600m, SEATTLE WEST (B. Woodworth) shifted out to progress in the race and
brushed with HONOKALANI (L. Quintero Corrales). Jockey B. Woodworth has been
advised to be more careful when shifting ground in races.
4. SEATTLE WEST (B. Woodworth) had a tendency to hang in, in the straight.
