Sonaram) travelled wide until the 1200m and then shifted in, interfering with AFTER THE ORDER (R. Joorawon). Jockey M. Sonaram was issued with a reprimand. Thereafter, SIR CAPERS weakened from the 500m and gave ground to the field. In view of the performance of SIR CAPERS, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. 3. Jockey R. Joorawon (AFTER THE ORDER) appeared before the Board in relation to his riding in the early part of the race when he had the opportunity to follow POWER TOWER (J. Bardottier), however, he had held his horse on a number of occasions until the 1000m. Jockey R. Joorawon advised that his instructions were to be midfield but between the 1200m and the 1000m, due to the presence of SIR CAPERS (M. Sonaram) on his outside which was inclined to shift in every now and then, and this rendered him unable to decide whether to ride between horses or hold his horse. After a review of his riding, an Inquiry has been opened into the riding of Jockey Joorawon. Racecard Changes 1. Jockey N. Batchameah (ROCHESTER) carried 0.5kg over the carded weight and weighed out at 59.5kg.

Stewards Reports 1. From a wide draw, WALALA WASALA (N. Batchameah) was brought behind runners and near the 800m, was awkward in its running, stumbled and fell, dislodging its rider. Jockey N. Batchameah had to be taken to the clinic. Accordingly, Jockey N. Batchameah was stood down for the remainder of the race meeting. 2. Jockey M. Sonaram (SPECIAL DUTY) who was following WALALA WASALA (N. Batchameah) took evasive action in order not to collide with the fallen rider and was eased out of the race. 3. Trainer S. Hurchund and Jockey J. Bardottier (DOUBLETHINK) appeared before the Board in relation to the handling of DOUBLETHINK from the start to 700m when Jockey J. Bardottier appeared to have eased his horse being in the lead and allowed ADITI (J. Allyhosain) to take the lead on him from the outside. An inquiry has been opened into the matter.

Starting Reports 1. TIMEINTHEWOODS (N. Marday) was reluctant to be loaded. TIMEINTHEWOODS jumped awkwardly, brushing the gates. 2. SASSARI (R. Joorawon) was steadied between horses. 3. GENERAL JACKSON (J. Bardottier) was slow by five lengths. The horse has been suspended for 7 days and until passed in the Barrier Trials to the satisfaction of the Stewards.
Stewards Reports 1. GLOBAL PATH (M. Sonaram) and TIMEINTHEWOODS (N. Marday) were green in the running. 2. Leaving the Stalls, GLOBAL PATH (M Sonaram) was awkward in the running, and was pulling and was eased off the heels of TIMEINTHEWOODS (N Marday). 3. Near the 1300m, CHRISTMAS ICECREAM (J. Allyhosain) was severely restrained as the Jockey had anticipated a false start which in turn resulted in SASSARI (R. Joorawon) being checked. Jockey N Marday (TIMEINTHEWOODS) who was on the outside of CHRISTMAS ICECREAM, appeared to have restrained his horse for some distance but allowed his horse to participate in the race from thereon. GLOBAL PATH (M Sonaram), which was following TIMEINTHEWOODS, encountered reduced speed from the latter and GLOBAL PATH was held back and passing the 1200m, TIMEINTHEWOODS shifted
back in causing another interference to GLOBAL PATH which was switched out from behind of TIMEINTHEWOODS and rejoined the field near 1100m. 4. GLOBAL PATH (M. Sonaram) jumped the crossing at the 1000m. 5. CHRISTMAS ICECREAM (J. Allyhosain) was restrained between the 1100m and 1000m. 6. A review in the start of the race was held, the reason being that stall 1 having CHRISTMAS ICECREAM appeared to have opened earlier than the rest of the gates. After taking the evidence into the matter from Jockey J. Allyhosain and Trainer N. Rawat, along with that of the Starter, the Stipendiary Stewards deemed it to be an unfairly advantageous start for CHRISTMAS ICECREAM. In terms of the Rules, the Stipendiary Stewards declared CHRISTMAS ICECREAM a non-runner and the order of placing was revised. All monies invested on CHRISTMAS ICECREAM were ordered to be refunded. Fixed odds winning bets were deducted by 65 cents per rupee on the face value of the ticket. 7. Jockey J. Allyhosain (CHRISTMAS ICECREAM) appeared before the Board in relation to him anticipating a false start which was not declared by the Starter and not supported by the flagman positioned on the track for that purpose. Therefore, he should have ridden his horse according to the Rules. As he has failed to do so, he has been issued with a reprimand. 8. Jockey N. Marday (TIMEINTHEWOODS) failed to ride his horse in the initial stages of the race based on Jockey J. Allyhosain’s call of a false start and therefore, was issued with a reprimand.
